As a nurse with us at the Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Fagersta, you will meet patients with all psychiatric diagnoses. The work is varied, allowing you to work broadly with treatment, counseling, and home visits. At our clinic, we work with skill exchange, which provides you with additional development and challenges in your work.

Job Responsibilities

We strive to provide our patients with good care and professional treatment in an organization that is undergoing change and development. As part of keeping up with the development, we work with skill exchange. This means that you as a nurse will be offered the opportunity to perform certain tasks that previously fell under the responsibility of doctors. We are also actively working to digitize our operations to offer conversations and treatment through digital channels. This is a way to more effectively provide our patients with quick, individualized, and high-quality care.

As a nurse with us, your responsibilities include preparing, administering, and following up on prescribed medication, journal administration, supportive conversations, and telephone counseling. In your role, you are an important link in the patient's rehabilitation, which means that you regularly collaborate with others, both internally within the organization and with other external care providers in coordinated individual plans. Home visits may also occur.

About the Workplace

In Region Västmanland, all adult psychiatry is gathered in one organization, which creates good conditions for a well-functioning care chain and good cooperation between different units. Adult Psychiatry Västmanland is divided into two sections: inpatient care and outpatient care. Inpatient care is located in Västerås and consists of five care departments and an emergency reception. The Adult Psychiatric Clinics are organized under outpatient care, which, in addition to Västerås, also operates in Köping, Fagersta, and Sala.

The Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Fagersta serves patients with mental health issues requiring specialist care and residing in the municipalities of Fagersta, Norberg, Virsbo, or Skinnskatteberg. The clinic employs doctors, social workers, psychologists, PTP psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, nursing assistants, and administrative staff, totaling around 20 dedicated and knowledgeable employees. We are a well-functioning clinic characterized by openness, collaboration, and respect for each other's expertise.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in psychiatry. Experience in psychiatric care is an advantage, as is familiarity with the Cosmic journal system. Since the role requires you to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. A B driver's license is also required for the position.
